Hi, my name is Roger Orton.
 I am a self taught professional artist and a professional associate member
 of the SAA, with about 40 years experience of drawing, oil painting and watercolours.

Living in the Midlands U.K. all my life, I paint whenever I get the chance.
I vary the subject matter as much as I can, to keep already mastered
 techniques fresh.  If you don’t use it you loose it!
Subjects covered are landscapes, seascapes, snowscapes, townscapes,
waterways, flowers and portraits. 

I hold watercolour painting courses at various locations within the U.K. and details
of these can be found at my other website.

As a member of a local art club, I enjoy meeting and painting with other artists, being able to see other styles and techniques used.
I think that every budding artist should join a club as it is a great way to meet people with similar interests and make an other wise lonely hobby into a social one.
This site has been set up to hopefully give enjoyment to all who visit,
and for beginners and professionals to show their work.
