Hi, my name is Roger Orton, I am a self taught professional artist, with about 40 years experience of drawing, oil painting and watercolours.
I am a professional associate member of the SAA.
Living in the Midlands U.K. all my life, I paint whenever I get the chance.
I vary the subject matter as much as I can, to keep already mastered techniques fresh.
If you don’t use it you loose it!
Subjects covered are landscapes, seascapes, snowscapes, townscapes, waterways, flowers and portraits. 
I hold watercolour painting courses / workshops for both beginners and improvers.
  Two and three day courses are held at Croft-on-the-Green, Coventry and the Days Inn, Nuneaton, at least once every month with a maximum group of six people.
I also hold one, two and three day personal tuition sessions for beginners and improvers at my home studio in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. These sessions suit people who would prefer individual tuition, or just cannot come on the specified course dates shown on 
www.paintingcourse.org
 Beginner courses are also being run at two new locations this year
in Ross on Wye, Herefordshire.
As a member of a local art club, I enjoy meeting and painting with other artists, being able to see other styles and techniques used.
I think that every budding artist should join a club as it is a great way to meet people with similar interests and make an other wise lonely hobby into a social one.
This site has been set up to hopefully give enjoyment to all who visit, and be of use to artists, from beginners to professionals, to show and sell their work.
